I was born and raised in Manhattan, NY, and live in NJ. I have been a recreational athlete for over 23 years and developed a love for helping others find their inner athlete. My passion is helping people, especially women find sustainable and pain-free ways to move their bodies, get strong and fit, understand their individual physiology and obtain the results they are looking for.
I am enthusiastic about helping others stay balanced with their nutritional and training habits while educating them on the value and importance of movement, setting reasonable and attainable goals- while dispelling fitness and nutrition myths and trends. I pride myself on being a reliable and trustworthy source for my clients. I am a NASM certified personal trainer, UESCA endurance running coach, dual certified nutrition coach with NASM & PN LV1 nutrition, Functional fitness specialist, and soon-to-be Menopause health and fitness specialist and PN SSR coach. I’m a woman who, I am guessing, is a lot like you.
For my whole life, I have been wanting to feel my best today while taking steps to help my future-self remain active and independent.
I’ve also had a lot on my plate trying to navigate my career, family, and health. Over a decade ago, after years of wondering and worrying if I was doing “the right things,” I decided to get scientific about health and longevity for women.
This path led me on an educational journey to become a Master Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Menopause Health and Fitness Specialist.

Since the mid-90s, Jody has immersed herself in the fitness and health arena, driven by a passion to empower individuals on their wellness journey. In 2010, she founded Just Train Personal Training to guide others toward healthier lifestyles through science-based procedures.
Jody’s coaching goes beyond conventional fitness, focusing on women’s health, particularly pre, peri, and post-menopause. Jody’s personal experience of being sidelined and in the dark as her body started changing in her 40’s, is what lead her down a path of helping others. Navigating hormonal fluctuations and metabolic nuances is a full-time job and profoundly impacts women’s well-being. Jody’s work with her clients helps to take the guesswork out of the equation. As both educator and coach, she offers empathy and tailored guidance to navigate this transformative phase with grace and resilience.

At the age of 44 I quit the only job I had as an adult when I felt my life and my body were out of control.
I walked away from a corporate retail management job into the world of fitness. At forty-seven years old I found my Inner Athlete, along with a strength and confidence in my body that I never knew I had. I dove into the world of triathlon and at the age of 59 I became an Ironman. I also have found a passion for obstacle course racing with my adult daughter.
My mission is to encourage all women who feel stuck that there is plenty of opportunity to be whoever they want to be, in a body they love and trust. My framework is using a simplified approach to exercise and movement that is manageable for your body and your daily life. I believe in meeting your body where it is at, starting in a safe place, teaching brain-based skills and drills for better movement and less pain. By understanding how the brain sends messages to the body and learning to send new messages, you can unlock your true potential.
You might not want to be a triathlete or an obstacle course racer like me, and that’s okay. But you might want to be able to carry your groceries in the house, pick up your small grandchild, put your suitcase in the overhead compartment, or garden for hours. You want to trust your body and live to the best of your capabilities with grace and ease. My hope is that we can all live long, healthy, happy lives in a body that doesn’t break down on us.

Lenita’s passion as a coach is empowering women traversing the peri/post menopausal years with the knowledge and skills needed to create the kind of sustainable change they’re after, and achieve the health, wellness, and performance goals they envision! She holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Women’s Fitness Specialist, a certified Menopause Coaching Specialist, and a certified Nutrition Coach.
With over 30 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, Lenita’s background spans clinical assessments and research, exercise and nutrition science, program design for special populations, and the science of behavior change. She has been an educator, author, and presenter to fitness professionals nationwide. She uses science-based knowledge and first-hand experience to collaborate with clients, formulating individualized plans that incorporate all aspects of their wellbeing, while providing support, guidance, and accountability.
Lenita believes women facing the “second half” of life have an opportunity to make it the BEST half in terms of their health, fitness, and overall wellbeing! A life-long athlete, she loves exploring and testing her limits…and thrives on helping others to do the same. She enjoys riding and racing her bike, where she has won multiple Master’s National and World Championship titles. She is also an avid surfer…and plans to be doing so until well into her 80’s in the blue Pacific near her home in San Diego CA
